Our integrated pest management system

At Mooigezicht we strive to use the best possible integrated pest management system to control pests and disease while still producing high quality fruit suitable for export to all markets and meeting all the necessary requirements in terms of food safety.

In this quest, agrochemicals are used sensibly and responsibly to minimize possible effects on the environment. As part of our integrated pest management we continuously monitor pest levels in the vineyards to ensure optimal efficiency of our control programme and minimal pesticide usage.  We participate in the industry Sterile Insect Technique Programme for Mediterranean fruit fly. We also protect our grapes from birds by using nets and individual bunch coverings is a quest to preserve the quality and condition of our grapes for our customers.
